Shell

A Poem by Natasha Montgomery

I fear
if I let go, you'll let go too.

I fear
if you let go, I can't catch myself.
I fear
if I can't catch myself, I'll break.
I fear
the more I let myself break, the less I'll have of myself to give.
Fragile. Hollow. Used.
Washed away to never be filled.
