Liquid LossA Poem by j.l. luna
Slipping through the cracks
of another undeserved chance reckless precious baby hands little is known save for their demands speak when spoken to laugh when things aren't funny pay with your soul not your dirty, hard-earned money we run, we flee when things aren't meant to be when we are in discordant energy not so much running from, but running to, whatever we can find that is new let it go, let it be we exist so we can burn, and not freeze I left a life so far behind, identity can't be tracked. I'm a well-known criminal in almost every aspect of the past. I left behind who I couldn't face, and now I'm in the wanted ads for stealing the hearts of the human race. It's not about who I am but who I'm not, I'm picking up the pieces that everyone else forgot. I exist as energy, you see what you will, humans make the world disappear, I make time stand still. those that shine the brightest are more than stars, more than reflected light in telescopes that strive to see far. we aren't one, we are many, our loving universal has split into a polyphony but don't we sound so sublime? symmetrically divine I've been split in two by people who I gave that power to, maybe some days I don't want it back we are all using different maps and none know where to step turn right, turn left and just listen for the sirens © 2014 j.l. luna |
