The Battle of You vs Him, It’s You (Over and Over Again)

 

 

There are some times

Moments in my life

That even I surprise myself

Because I sit here

And talk about the things I don’t have

The way I feel

That I’m miserable

And I’m never satisfied with what’s in front of me

That I feel like I need something better in my life

Someone better

Because what I have doesn’t seem like enough for me

But today

I have all the options laid out in front of me

Offering me different scenarios

Opportunities

Most of which you will not offer to me

And it would be so easy to accept

You’re forever away anyway

But somehow

Today

I realize

No.

I do not want him.

Or them

Or anyone for that matter

I want you to come home to me

I want you to kiss me

I want you to stay with me

I’ll put up with your craziness

I’ll put up with your quips

Because I can’t imagine being with anyone else

But you.

Because with all of these options

And many paths I could choose

I realized today

That I love

And want

Only you.
