Like A Diamond In The Rough, You Shine So Dim

Like A Diamond In The Rough, You Shine So Dim

don't hide yourself from the world, you have much to offer us

Like A Diamond In The Rough, You Shine So Dim

You've spent all your life
Hidden from the public world
Trapped in a box
Thrown out on the rocks

No one knows who you are
No one is aware
That you are even there
They don't know your talents
Or how special you are

You don't know if you can be of any help
Sometimes you think everything would be better
If you dropped off the face of the earth

But you're wrong
You have a purpose
There is a plan
You have a better future
Then to be buried six feet underneath the sand

So keep your head up little solider
And remove the dirt from your eyes
You shine so bright
Don't believe their lies
