Two A.M.

Two A.M.

A Poem by jesthepoet

~Two  AM~

One hand rested. Another

travelled restlessly.

One ear heard the silence,

another his breath:

constant, comforting, almost

lulled her back

to where she had come from.

Intent.

One body moved.

One body felt the stir.

Two bodies respond.

One hand bites

into his flesh.

One hand tangles

in her hair.

Two mouths reveal each other

and revel in discovery.

Two voices break

the silence of the moment.

Two battle, overcome, capitulate,

settle back in place

content. One sighs

One drifts. One shifts.

Two smile, sleepily,

into the darkness of the room.

Wow. Reading your words cook up a scene before my very eyes, I can almost say that I can see it as clearly as the monitor before me. Sweet piece. Excellent use of words, quite descriptive.
