a poem written for a friend..

From this moment on, I'm going to live in myself

I won't hide, I won't judge, I won't run

I will approach with unconditional positive regard

Things will be simple as warmth surrounds the sun

Today, I will fall in love

I will let myself be accepted

I'll fall into the comfort of someone's arms

and not expect to be rejected

I can feel the anger and sadness in me

But, I won't be scared away

I will turn it all into lessons

to improve myself each day

When I feel conflicted, 

I will look back at these words

and then, I'll know to let my

hurt fly away with the birds.
