Unfinished

Unfinished

A Poem by jessy123

It started as a feild of dandelions.
Then nature took it's shift.
As the wind blew stronger.
I watched dandelion dust drift.

I used to call them wishful flowers.
Pray for my wishes to come true.
Then one day it did.
The day I have met you.

I should've wished to be strong.
To stand tall even when being hurt.
Not to have pieces of me taken.
Or ripped out from the dirt.

I can't forget that day.
The day you went away.
But what really hurts the most.
Is i still feel you so close.

But yet your so far away.
Do you remember that one day?
That day that was taken from you.
When they left your body to decay.

I really should've thought.
Never set my hopes up high.
Because I really should've remembered.
Every hello ends with goodbye.

So it started as a feild of dandelions.
then nature took it's shift
And as the wind blew stronger.
I watched dandelion dust drift.

But with one left standing.
I'll make one more last wish come true.
I'll pray for it to happen.
For me to be with you.

Love how you tied up the ending and also the imagery of dandelion fields is pretty refreshing:) Sounds like the story of my life right now...haha
