His Lost Soul

His Lost Soul

A Poem by Jessica Wood
"

I hate the idea of losing someone you love.

"

His Lost Soul

Wishing on a star won’t take this pain away

Growing day by day because I couldn’t help you

Your image burned into my soul

And your name engraved on my heart

Tormenting me every day

It kills me to be here without you

Forced with these feelings and dread

Cold sweats and misery

Follow me like a moth to a flame

The knock on the door was the worst

Sending chills down my spine and aches to my mind

Now I lay in a bed sized for two

Cut up and broken

With the memory of you keeping me sane

It kills me to be here without you

Forced with these feelings and dread

Cold sweats and misery

Follow me like a moth to a flame

No one ever told me it would hurt this much

Your love meant so much to me

And now I live each day without it

my life fades before my eyes

till I reach the point where I know you are gone

It kills me to be here without you

Forced with these feelings and dread

Cold sweats and misery

Follow me like a moth to a flame.
