Lucid.

Lucid.

A Poem by Lady Lazarus.
"

We are unusual....tragic...and alive.

"

clarity cannot cradle
confusion of a kind
those who still are waiting
fading over time
bluebells crisp and breaking
bitten like the wind
dancing on the flames
wonders how he sinned

Fancy rejected them
keeping him til last
 a twisted metal kiss
through skin like glass
calmed to a pale ember
though we attempt to...
with regret remember

such was the connection
it brings a type of sting
though we were eternal
we never knew a thing
mousy muted fur
standing to attention
 hand through hair
a soothed touching tension...

fabricated fate for a thankful few
 though your heart is breaking
what can he really do?
bear me.. bear me...
Just...
Just
not yet...
a twisted metal kiss....
my skin like glass.

I really like this. The alliteration at the start draws you in to the downward spiral of the first Stanza. I am actually in love with the second stanza, and the title really fits the piece, as in my mind,Lucid is what you say when thinking like this.
