Honest in our failure

Honest in our failure

A Poem by Lady Lazarus.

Honest in our failure

desires not quite meet

years since I finished last

a mare without a bet

garland hangs so heavy

on minds that won't forget

In this place you find yourself

In this place you kill your body

In this plain you are quite normal

In this place you start again

you Bathe yourself in the waters

cold blue nymths numb your chest

Rise like lazarus on tender legs

look to a life and what it suggests

You're not quite sure if you believe it

not quite sure if you could guess..

In this place you find yourself

In this place you kill your body

In this plain you are quite normal

In this place you start again

someone worth more than you

they see you as a friend

a world that you're new to

on which your life depends..

In this place you find yourself

In this place you kill your body

In this plain you are quite normal

In this place you start again...

you start again and fail
