my home is like a bright bright star...

my home is like a bright bright star...

A Poem by Lady Lazarus.

 Caledonian lovers whose fingers meet

rain that nourishes oor chests that beat

thistles strewn in proud seclusion that swelter in heat

we burn brighter than any constellation

a people, together who nae one shall ever defeat

hearts that merge nae matter oor location

a place where yae smile as yae cannea express yer awe any other way

living in Technicolor even if oor sky is grey

where things blossom inte beauty to portray

sae small yet haud sae dear

the swell ‘e inspiration as we get up fer the day

nae matter what we go through we always persevere

Walking along the beach as the wind and seaweed whip around

Watch a shaft ‘e light where sand and dreams are found

In my defense God me defend, tae the end we shall be bound

oor lion stands rampant and watches over us

dance ‘n’ sway together tae the bag pipes sound

this flower ‘e scotland who shalt grow ,in who we'll always trust....
