The picture of dorian gray

The picture of dorian gray

A Poem by Lady Lazarus.

Free calories are the only contents of your fridge.

You feel each curve between your fingers.every ridge.

Once a picture of crystalised splendor.

That mirrors broken & now you're a pretender.

a picture of dorian gray

I have to leave it all behind today...

I've become all wrong again.

things are broken oh!what a shame.

names called at me heavy my load.

I watch as the insults flowed.

A picture of dorian gray

I have to leave it all behind today.

I'm sick of hating the reflection in the mirror.

I want to see the real reflection...the one less clearer.

What an entertaining write and a joy to the read

Very creative and focused on a subject matter that we have all struggled with in the past

Wonderfully done

My oh my! I most definitely know this one. As a "large man" myself, I know exactly how this feels and I had an easy time connecting to this piece. However, I'm not sure about your reference to Dorian Gray. Is this you? Or perhaps an image of whom you long to be like?

Ain't that the truth, but in the end we are what we are. But others don't always see what we see. Splendid piece. Reminds me of my short story "The Man That Ruined My Life". Kudos on the write.
