Crisis of a teenage mother.

Crisis of a teenage mother.

A Poem by Lady Lazarus.

Looking at the groves of her palm.
sitting with her young one trying to stay calm.
Barely fifteen and on the news again today.
parents tut, friends leave and all the grandmothers pray.

crisis of a teenage mum.
the situation makes her numb.
she walks the streets with hesitance.
lays down a flower of remebrance.
the only one who loves her still smiles with devotion.
the girl smiles back.regrets the path she's chosen.

The girl wish she'd know her own.
But her life was lived to be alone.
her father kicked her out the home.
now from town to town will she roam.

the mother holds her baby to her bosom.
doing whats right is always a nuisance.
but one day when she's grown older.
she'll remember all the love her mother showed her.

Reading this made me feel so utterly sad!
This young mother is going through such an ordeal.
You are able to write this as if you experienced what she is going through.
You have a real talent for empathy!
Apart from forgetting to use capitals at some point, this is really brilliant.
You really have a talent for writing and I'm planning on reading your book later ...

I am so touched by this poem. I know what if feels to be a teen mom and it's hard as hell. But you did a great job describing it. Thank you for writing this. It's beautiful.

I like the way you describe this!
It's upsetting yet has a beautiful ending!
I'm not a baby person and would not no what to do in that situation.
But i love the way you have captured the feeling and characters emotions throughout the piece.
But yet you left it open for maybe more.
Well written x

That was really a beautiful piece about motherly love. I guess I needed to read it as I had a big fight with her yesterday. This shows that though what she did was wrong, still the love of her mother didn't get less. She still loves her daughter, even though her husband doesn't....
A great write indeed...
Well Done!!
