The RoadA Poem by JessieDown that road I fear to tread
because that dark road
no light does it shed
It seems so cold
no warmth do I feel
no rays from the sun
just the coldness of its chill
you can not see its end
just its whinedy twists of turns
Entwined with no meaning,
no feeling, of no concerns
A hollow sound blows out from its side
Erie and wicked both deep and wide
No comfort does it give
No life to live
I feel there's no safe house
at the end of this road
Only a darkness with no light and
a chill thats so cold
No, I won't travel a road
where no light paves its way
I will choose the road
where night is turned to day
I will choose the road that has a guide
Someone who will carry me through
I choose the road to Heaven, Dear Lord,
I choose the road to you...
