Where were you?

Where were you last night when I needed you so?   When the rains flooded in around me and wouldn't let me go.

Where were you this morning?  When the rain was waist deep, another promise you've failed to keep..

Where were you this afternoon?   It will be over my head soon

Where were you when I was gasping for air?    It's obvious you wasn't there.

Where are you now that I'm gone?  You'll hear the news come early dawn....

I felt this poem was really powerful. I imagine someone asking me these questions in person. I do not want to be put on a spot like this. This poem if read by others will have life altering effect on people. It has on me. Fantastic write.
