No Clean-up Crew

No Clean-up Crew

A Poem by Jessie

                               No Clean-up Crew

I woke up this morning and knew some how that the fight was already on! Things started flying my way right at the crack of dawn.  Didn't waste no time for the damage to settle in. It seemed like pain was my only friend.

From the wreckage and debris left at the end of the day there was nothing I could salvage, nothing I could say.  There was no clean-up crew to pick up all the mess and the thought of doing it all alone well, amused me less and less.  The day was almost over as I laid down my head and that's when I heard a voice and this is what it said....

"I have awoke with you in the early morning and walked with you throughout the day. Took lunch with you when you had it, I was there every step of the way and as far as all the mess, well you don't need a clean-up crew, you see that mess was all cleaned up the day I died for you"...
