Meeting at Dawn

Meeting at Dawn

A Chapter by J Maredith

James didn’t tell me anything about this person even if I should dress nice or not. James called my name so I grabbed a black silk dress.

“James where are you?” I walked down the staircase to the kitchen but no sign of him anywhere.

“In the foyer love.”

James was sitting on one side of the table and a beautiful woman sitting on the other side.

“Maredith this is Aphrodite she will be helping us with your ring.” My eyes wouldn’t leave her perfect face.

“Hello.” Her voice was like water it flowed so well with her whole body. I halve expected James to keep his eyes on her but I look over to see his eyes locked on me, passion in his eyes.

“James shall we look at her ring.” Aphrodite interrupted us and James turned to her but eyes stay with me. He austere me to sit next to him.

“Maredith may I see you hand.” She took my hand and keep putting different ring temps on until one fit then she took my ring and went to work on it.

“James its getting late shouldn’t I be getting home?” I whispered in his ear.

“Its ok love I have you covered, when we left I left a note for your mom in your hand writing telling her you left for school early to meet with a teacher.” He smiles at my with his white teeth showing.

“I am finished Mr. And Misses Locks, congratulation also.” Why does she keep interrupting us.

“I will show you the door.” James got up and helped me out of the chair.

“Thank you Aphrodite very much.” He hands her and envelope. She stops in the middle of the room and grabs her head.

“Maredith you will never see it coming but it will.” She said it in a man voice that I sort of knew but couldn’t put it to face.

Later when James and I went to bed I couldn’t stop my brain trying to figure this out.

“James what do you think Aphrodite meant I wont see it coming?” I rolled over to face him.

“Her powers are to channel others looking for people around, her for all we know it could be a dead guy.”  He looked into my eyes with the regret of his last words.

“Oh James it was my dad, it must have been.” I broke down in to tears and just let James hold me.

Ok dreaming is peaceful (Most of the time) but when your brain is in overdrive because your last thought is of your missing parents. It brings on every memory of them in your small amount of brain matter can hold and anything that goes with any of those memories.

I am walking on circles and I am shaking, but it not cold or I am not sick so why am I shaking. A voice. A man voice. I know it but it is so far away so I run faster and faster but it is even farther a way. Darkness I am in darkness searching but for what so I yell but I hear no words. Then I am in my room and James is shaking me, calling my name, for me to awake.

“James, James, James.” I reach for his face.

“I am here love.” He looks at me  with horror in his eyes.

“Wha-what happened.” I grabbed my wet hair, sweat, I was covered with sweat.

“You were having a nightmare and screaming for me and then yelling Robert and Je`anna.” It was my parents names I was searching for them in my dream.

“James I think my parents are trying to contact me.”All I wanted was to see them again but I know it is imposible…or is it?

“Maredith you need to calm down.” My body felt numb I couldn’t move, couldn’t think only breath.

“James I need help I have to find out what happed to my parents.” His face said it all he was totally devoted to my words.

“I told you I want to be with you forever.” He looked at me and knew we would be together forever. “Forever.” I said.
