Little Blue Flowers

Little Blue Flowers

A Poem by Jessica Jean

The butterfly found it
She first passed the pool
Then the jungle gym
All in a haphazard flight
Until she discovered the sweet blue flowers
At the back of the yard
And there she is sitting,
Wings alight in the summer sun

Great rhythm in this piece, I sense an imagination set free, free as a butterfly! Well done!

I can fully imagine just relaxing on a back porch, and baring witness to this occurance. The light in which you portray it is the true beauty.

I like how you describe the journey of the butterfly. This poem has the type of attention to organic detail one would see in haiku. The bit about the jungle gym was a nice touch.

I have a bit of constructive criticizm if you like, and I can message you about it if you like. I'm glad I found your work and I hope to talk to you soon :-)

Thanks! I wrote this a couple years ago I think. And that would be nice!
mm I like your beauty in brevity formula, it's awesome when a poet understand the aesthetic comes first!
