Stary, Stary Moonless Night

Stary, Stary Moonless Night

A Poem by kurama247

Oh, my stars

I can see you

but I see not

my beautiful moon.

I cannot sleep

as I lie in my bed

and I cannot dream

without resting my head.

Where are you,

my beautiful moon?

I cannot see you

looking up at my window sill

It is so late

and I've been lying here for hours

I wish to sleep

but sleep wish not me.

I think of him

as I watch the clouds roll in

and the lighting rumble

in the sky.

Why can he not

be mine?

Never a night

can he be by my side?

I miss him.

I miss seeing him.

I miss holding him.

If even for a second...

Why can I not sleep tonight?

Is the storm that I watch now

a new storm rolling in?

Or is it the constant storm

that rages in my heart?

I think everyone has felt this way at some point in life. A well written piece.
