Simple Words

How to say 'I'm sorry'.

I didn't mean

to make fun

of what you did

or what you've done

 

We don't see

each other every week

every time we do

that time seems to meek

 

I try to find

the simple words

but it seems to me

more like a curse

 

The words won't come

and so I rhyme

hoping they'll come

to me in time

 

And so I write

with paper and quill

writting on

until my hand lies still

 

And now my regrets

have made me wary

forget the rhymes

I'll say

'I'm sorry'.

I know it sounds childish, but it's supposted to, like it was written in a hurry.

Its never easy to say that
your sorry especially, when you know
you have taken a long time to realize
that you were wrong.
