Paper AirplanesA Poem by jessicawritesOur footsteps take us to the nearest Starbucks
Our footsteps take us to the nearest Starbucks,
But our eyes are fixated on the mountains. As we sip the caramel, The sugar in us, is sweet as lullabies. And I indulge in my cotton candy dreams, As you speak of mundane things. I want to travel far away, Far from here. Where the horizon is a rainbow's hue, Where only the air can take you. I get paper cuts from paper airplanes, We make on the boat as we sail the Nile, The maps are on your hands, But there's no telling where we will land.
