A very intense poem about what really happens

Step away

Run to the woods

Never halt a second

Don't believe your moods

Close your eyes

Block your hearing

Don't look back

You're not missing

Just continue,

Don't remember.

The people you killed,

They're just on slumber

Grab your guns

Prepare for pools of blood

You're just defending yourself,

It's not about the tears that flood

Never let your feelings mix

You are paid to do this

Emotions are just tricks

Never put you hands on knees

Don't surrender!

You got this, soldier!

Believe me, now.

I am your leader!

He answered me with tears,

"What do you mean?

I have horrifying fears

Why do people proclaim these happenings?"

Well, soldier

I do not know

People like a shade of red in every snow

I think it's what makes mankind glow

"Why, leader?

Must the world be so war freak?

Is it because we're cruel?

We are so full of gimmicks"

No more questions!

No more tricks!

I have a confession!

Humans are freaks!

You are right!

We are cruel

We can fight,

But that is a hidden jewel!

We are strong,

Yet are weak

Compared to them,

The government that's sick

Thank you for reviewing! I wrote this poem after rewatching Attack on Titan and encountering Mikasa's quote, "The world is cruel." It got me thinking about plenty of reasons why our world is not the nicest place
