To: Me

To: Me

A Poem by jessicawrites
"

I want to tell myself some things...

"
To: Me
I hate you.
It's you that guides me to my grave
Why are you so curious?
Can't you just be contented?
You don't have to know.
You'll just be confused.
And you're so stubborn
I can't stand you anymore
Please listen to me,
And do as I say,
Close your eyes
Inhale, exhale

Sleep.
Dream of something wonderful
Something to lighten your dark world
Why are you getting up?
Hey! Do as I say!
Oh, now you're doing it again
Don't take risks!
See? This is why I hate you.
Come back here,
please listen to me
Just for once know that I am here.
Please, stop.
Now I'm fading
Dying in a mysterious fog
But not as enigmatic as to not know the source
It is because of you, myself
I'm melting to my death,
And only have few moments to stay
And of many words I could tell you, these are my candidates:
"It is because of you that I'm dying,
but it is also because of you that I lived."

I like this very much as it sounds like my mind talking to me. I get it.
