EngrainedA Poem by jessicagattoNovember 2nd, 2015
Last night you touched my arm and I was back in your bed.
Tangled in your word, engrained in your sheets, drowning in you helplessly. I never thought I'd look you in the eyes, surprised to see you, surprised to see me. F*****g me over and over again through just that glance. And I knew when you whispered in my ear, you'd drag me through your dirt once again. You're coming for me as you always do. After a year passes you turn back to you, or the you that I knew when I drowned in your sheets that December night. Don't disappear like you always do.
