Knowledge

Knowledge

A Poem by jessicagatto

When you get close to someone, you learn many details about their interests and habits. Certain laughs, certain tones of voice and what each mean. It can get to the point where you read something and hear their voice speaking it. You don’t even realize that you’re gaining this knowledge.

Once that person is no longer part of your life, you have all of this leftover knowledge that is now useless and sometimes it turns into pain. Certain things remind you of those certain laughs or certain habits, but all you can do is reminisce and feel.
