VoidA Poem by jessicagattoFebruary 11, 2014^ What is it about you that makes me cringe? Your crooked smile? Your deep void eyes? Or is it your discolored voice That I can’t seem to make out? You stare blankly at me and all I hear is silence. You stare blankly at her but with words. When you say that you love me, is it because I stick around? Or do you just enjoy the darkness you bring out in my soul? I’m afraid to look back because I know that once I do, you won’t be there anymore. You’ll vanish into nothing again and I’ll sink into my sheets Wishing, wanting, hoping you’ll come back to watch me drown once more.
