Myself

Myself

I watched myself undress while sitting in front of my mirror. It was
beautiful.
The way my hair tucks behind my ear and falls against my shoulder
and collar bone.
The shine in my eyes when you can tell that I care and I’m in deep
thought.
The slant of my body leaning back and my pale, creased skin.
It’s all so beautiful.
I know that I’ll miss it when I grow older.

It’s scary to think that no body can see what I see right now.
No one is thinking exactly what I’m thinking.
I’m completely alone and I’m good with that.
I love myself: my music taste, my appearance, my style, my mind, my
thoughts, my presence, my ideas, my love for people and just myself
all around.

I don’t like that it’s all going to be gone some day but that just gives
me more reason to love it while I can.

But your thoughts, ideas, and love for others don't have to go away, especially if you leave evidence in writing. I like the honesty in this. Growing old is such a true fear and everyone has it and I think it's great how you embrace loving yourself. Cool write.
