Awaken the Wallflower

Above all others is laughter

A quiet gaze across the room

Our eyes meet at the same time

Two wallflowers intertwine

Shivering with excitement

Of an instant connection

When I walked into your world

A microscopic being on this large surface

An experiment with love

Free to lose my composure

Dancing to the sound of crickets

You cheered me on in the background with your sweet smile

I am alive for the first time since my birth
