Friends will come and go hun. I know it sucks when you get into fights. But time will pass and you won't feel as bad. If he is truly your friend he would respect your choices.

It sounds like jealousy, and it seems Josh and you were once lovers and making that transition to mere friends is difficult to say the least. People have a hard time watching someone move on from them to someone else I am sure his feelings got in the way of his thinking and he lashed out. Understanding where it comes from is half the battle to defeating it. A true friendship is build on trial and error but in the end if you two can talk through it then you will be friends for life. He has to understand your moving on and you have to understand how it makes him feel. Great write.
