In reality

what i want and but know im not ready for

you say you love me,

but in reality you don't.

you say you wanna be with me,

but in reality you don't.

you say your ready to start our future,

but in reality your not.

we are not ready for all of this.

but we will wait as long as it takes,

just as long as we are together.

Many times one wants the whole nine yards while the other doesn't but feels pressured into wanting it so they say what they must to keep the peace while dragging their feet in reality of it. At least in this poem the other person can see this and they are prepared to wait for it instead of forcing it. Lovely write.
