The Darkness Within

I was inspired to write this poem after my relationship of 2yrs fell apart. I really do hope you guys enjoy.

You were my darkness,

And I was the light.

You cast a spell, 

And darkness became my delight.

You poisined me darling, 

With your dark twisted love.

You kept me captive,

Like the moon is captured from above.

You sat there quietly,  

As you watched me slowly die.

You happily smiled when i would cry,

And looked at your work with strong pride.

People warned me,

From your wicked ways.

But it was too late,

Seconds became days.

I was a part of you,

Physically and mentally.

It always about you,

And me slightly.

Then the day came

When my eyes finally revealed,

The true monster you were

Although my heart was already sealed.

You never loved me,

I finally admitted.

And the darkness you had,

Was now transmitted.

With anger in my head,

And depression in my heart.

I knew i had to do it,

I must tear you apart.

I crushed your dreams,

As you did to mine.

Although you begged for mercy,

I destroyed your spine.

Your spitting image,

Was compltetly gone.

You were down on your knees,

Which ment my job was done.

I became like dark armor,

As you became so thin.

For all the pain you put me through,

Became my darkness within.

Beautiful write, aside from the many spelling/grammar errors. The flow could use a little work, in my opinion. Oh! And I'm truly sorry that your relationship fell apart, I'm sure that sometime in the past, he has loved you, his opinion of you changed along with time. Amazing write, Dark Armour, keep it up!
