DaydreamA Poem by Jessica Garciapoetry about that moment you "zone out" to daydream (lol)
Daydream As I stare Out across To open fields I find my soul Beginning to heal This single suspended moment That belongs to me Impending in trance With infinity The expression on my face Slightly poses mystery Lost in this place That's hard to believe A breeze blows That gives me chills Everything seems to move Yet I stay Ever so still Silently Waiting The world around me fading Nothing matters now My hair wisps past my eyebrow This torturous pain Of wanting to look away Charmed by this place I cannot explain I need to stop gazing But yet I remain I hear a distant whisper That sounds like my name Startled and dispelled I look around and realize My fantasy world has fell I believe I know where I have been But yet I cannot tell I know one day When I am not paying attention I will return For secretly this is the place I yearn And so as real as this place may seem I can say only That it is a Daydream. © 2012 Jessica GarciaAuthor's Note
