Gravity

Gravity

A Poem by Jessica Harmony
"

A love poem about my boyfriend and I.

"

The faint grasp of gravity around us is no match for the force like two magnets between us.

Pulling, pushing, bending, shaping the air between us into something that doesn't exist.

We define the lines of a shadow so close we are one, we interlock our tools of love, our hands, for without them, how could we tell if our puzzles fit together? Or if our piece was still wandering the earth for the connecting piece.

Our minds communicate like ears and mouths, we are human telephones.

My heart is the answering machine that takes your message of love and never hits delete.

My heartbeat is your timekeeper, your melody is my music, together we are a symphony.
