I Am a Story

I Am a Story

A Poem by Jessica Harmony

I am a book waiting to be written.

I am a pen on a page that is trying to hide like a child in an open field.

I fly through windows, crash through doors, weep in corners and smile in the sunlight.

I am unabashed of my actions, but I am penitent of my thoughts.

I am the fight inside of you, the delirium that never lets you go, but makes no effort to catch you.

I am the serene surmise at the end of an argument with nobody.

I am…your soul.
