Smile (:

Smile (:

A Poem by Jessica Harmony
"

For Jeff, remember to smile :)

"

You tell me:

Smile.

Everyday.

Anything to make you smile. You teach me how to live life with the simplest of simples, a smile on my face. Maybe it’s all I need. You teach me how to see the world through rose colored glasses, how to make the best of it even when it’s not good at all. I can’t stay mad at you more than a minute. I’m too busy smiling.

Darling, I'll smile as long as you tell me to. Anything to make you smile back. You keep me from crying, the smile blocks my tears. You keep me alive, just smiling.

Smile, you tell me.

But baby, I already am.

It is good and it's happy. When we smile it can change how we feel. It changes how we sound in a conversation and even if we are hurting, by cheering others, we too can be cheered when they smile back at us. Keep on smiling!

Somehow just the act of smiling, of having the courage to smile no matter what, it takes it from the lips to the heart... like a sunrise.. And nothing is more beautiful then something shared to lift a friend.
