Shiny

Shiny

A Poem by Jessica Harmony
"

Christmas is my favorite holiday. I know, I'm Jewish. Whatever. :P

"

Shiny!

Songs fill

The whole room,

Children scream for Santa,

Jingle bells cover the walls,

Hapiness is inevitable, Seeping into even

The darkest of hearts, turning them bright.

The decorations and colors stream through the skies.

Laughter is the present everyone recieves, but none acknowledge.

Too focused on commercial gifts to accept the love they already have.

The crackle of fire in a house

The excitement built up into

A little box, bursting open!

The smiles on their faces,

Beautiful, extravagant, gifts

Fill the room. They are bright,

Shiny.

I just manted to make a poem in the shape of a Christmas tree. It's bad, I know. Sorry! Constructive Criticism appreciated!!!

I think you did a beautiful writing display here ~ relating joy and adding the bonus of the shape which elicits an immediate smile~
