Please don't

Please don't

A Poem by jesserose99
"

inside my head

"

Please don't mistake my silence

for something negative

I won't act out in violence

Im just inside my head

I step inside sometimes

on a coffee break

from the chitter and chatter

outside that I can't take

So please stop asking me

'whats wrong, you seem so quiet'

or 'you're not ok, I don't buy it'

Im just on my minds front porch

in my rocking chair

looking for my fork to eat

the thought muffin I prepared

This is one of those works that everyone would enjoy reading regardless of their taste in poetry and many would relate to it. It's a wonderful and a very true piece. I really like your choice of words and the way you write too. So, well done and keep on writing.

I can relate to this.... I call this the Maiden's Window. It is where i hear and see the real world just beyond here... You write songs too.... Neat. I started a song about the Maiden's window. I hadn't finished it yet. Perhaps you might join me and help finish it.

I like your writing. You say so much with so few words. Nice poem.

Blunt and simple. Cute. Easy listening by its note and deduce and infer,.,, and play by play underneath its grey lies a cryptic truth, I think.

The coffee break with it’s chatter is really cool. LIke that part.

This makes me laugh, cause I relate.

My sisters do this to me all the time.

Jesse, enjoyed your poem, written very well. I can relate as I am comfortable in my own thoughts. I am a realist but also a free thinker. Peace and Blessings, Richie B.

Thank you for this. I truly sympathize. This and another piece from another member, coupled with a couple of other reasons, lead me to sign up and post my own poem.

I bet many people have said this but this is very relatable, and I love the consciousness picture you built and also I noticed your poems, or at least some, have a certain....joy, or humour? Maybe it's the way you play with the words, can't explain but it's like there's a warm flame on everything (again, or at least some) you write...I'm not good at explaining these things with words, that's why I restrain myself from making reviews... anyways, good job
