Discombobulated

Discombobulated

A Poem by jesserose99
"

I misplaced my mind somewhere....hmm

"

Im discombobulated

my mind too populated

I think I over complicate it

with things who knows where they go

Trying to find where I placed my mind

I left it some place I know

I had mental disorder

So I think my mind took off for the border

and Im left with this pen in my hand

Im sorry, what did I just say man?

Yes, the mind can sometimes take detours in the thought process, leaving one with an ethereal tint to their mental mish-mash and an obstacle to astute thinking. Your imagery and wording conveys that idea in a greatly substantive way. Hey, like I said, I'm becoming a fan of yours. Keep me in your loop, please? take care...dan

Oh, ,me and this feeling are very old friends. A too populated mind sounds lovely, until you realise it's two am and everyone is having a party in your head and you can't sleep. I blame my brain secretary personally. She is a lovely girl, but I'm guessing dyslexic. She is always filing thoughts and memories in the wrong place. But I've grown used to her quirks, plus she takes the heat off it being my fault :)

LOL....I can totally relate to this. It was funny, but also something that is not always funny at the time. I have these cognitive deficit moments from PTSD. I liked being able to see it from this humorous....being able to laugh at your own brain....perspective.

This is one of my favorite poems I have read lately....and I have been reading a lot of poetry, both on here and on wordpress.

Much love,
Annie💕💙
