Message in a bottle

if I could send myself

If my body were a bottle

and I were a message

I'd float upon the ocean

and the waves would be my lessons

I'd find my way to you

so you could look inside

and see the water surrounding

to learn the tears I've cried

floating on these waters

looking for true love

only to learn,

I was always enough

Yes, it is a lesson we sometimes learn, but we are always enough. We can be happy alone, just as we can be miserable together, but sometimes finding inner happines makes you realise that true contentment cant be measured in relationships. With or without, you will always be you. Being you with someone else is just the bonus.
