just a song

I put my pain in a box and mail it to me
So I can be the one that sets it free

This is brilliant. I especially like the first verse, (which if the rest is brilliant, then this must be brillianter)
To mail your pain to yourself, so you can set it free. Thats just one of those things you read, then swear and wish you had thought of.
In those moments in life of helplesness, I would certainly prescribe reading this poem, as it captures perfectly the thoughts, feelings and loss of a heavy heart, along with the hope of escape.

for a poem about pain, it's really upbeat and I like that - it's refreshing because you have a way to deal with it. When you say 'mail it to me' is that because it comes back to you? Just a thought...

That's really funny you say that..I was wondering how people would take that and you noticed. I was kind of trying to say that it's mine so I own it...but I detach myself from it. On a somewhat funny note...I would hate to send someone else my pain, poor sod's. Who would want to open that box...yikes. Thank you for your review...I look forward to reading something of yours.
