Eyeloveyou

Eyeloveyou

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Finally something has grabbed the nerve to shake me solid
Now, my shallow breathing is less than a choice and has a purpose
I always thought I'd used my luck on childish games
But when you whisper things to me, I understand my lack of understanding

My heart was dipped in wax, but beat softly underneath
I tried everything to melt it into something useful
But I loved with my head, which is only close to honest
And the memories and things they said were bought, and now they're gone

However, you proved my buried truths false
And all the walls I'd unknowingly created crumbled
I don't know what I'm doing, but there's no chance that it's not right
Of course we're too young, but love chose us
