All the Real Faces

All the Real Faces

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Well, here it is cold and naked
A shriveled falsity became truth with some pressing
Another garbage bound love letter in a damp afternoon
Again, I found only superficial differences

At the core you're like all other selfish mediocrity
You may own that pretty face, but not mine

Let the lies, fall where they may
Truth always bares fruit.

Nicely written, deep and thought provoking!!

"A thousand plastic flowers don't make a desert bloom. A thousand empty faces don't fill an empty room." --Fritz Perls

I thought of that quote after reading this.
I like the you pull these words out of your gut.
