S&J

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

You're golden, boy, I'm not a literal girl
I like to spend time under pine trees and blue skies
Without any cares, run your fingers through my hair
We'll go anywhere, take a picture then throw it away

Smile wide and run with a big mind
Full of fairy tales and possibilities
Maybe we're too young, but we only live once
Come and laugh at the world with me

And we can sit and talk about how beautiful we think we're not
And we can catch stars and hold them tight for each other
And compare them to our eyes, that could never shine as bright
And we'll fall in love with the nights that we spend together

If we're not supposed to live this way, then I'll be wrong
And if it gets hard sometimes and if we both cry, then we'll be strong
In the end, you can be my best friend
And I'll love you until the sun stops shining
