Beautiful

Beautiful

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

I can see the promises that fly through atmospheres

Weighted with dense goodbyes and lost romances

But those pretty red lips don't belong in a single place

They flutter like butterflies, they'll dance with you tonight

And the boys with the brown hair, they go for the sunshine

It's some kind of fire behind her faded blue eyes

And she's honest with half of them, but they don't believe her

And the other half, she's too tired to even act like she cares

But the flashlight stars shine, and God sees you through them

And her red lips, they'll lie, and you won't see through them

And she was hurt twice before, and now she is broken

And she's found that it helps to break hearts now herself

So be careful, she's beautiful, and she'll tear you to pieces

She's careless, yet perfect at everythign that she does

You'll say you don't care, she's like cracks to the pavement

But you'll find that in time she's impossible to forget
