Hallelujah

Hallelujah

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Hey now, baby you're the finest being for me

Your blue breath and the figures that move you

Your nervous eyes and the music that soothes you

I've let them under my skin, oh baby come in come in come in

I've been blind to some subtle perfections

One of them is the way you're my best friend

I can only be yours if you can be mine, love

So be true to me now and for a long time

I hate to be told that I am common

I like to breathe air that only some breathe

If you into making mistakes and learning

Then why don't you take a walk beside me

I want to feel the rush of chemicals above us

Below and around and throughout the late September skies

We'll be the Gods of exuberance and lust

Mixing fear into quiet excitement and wide eyes

And I'll whisper, "Hallelujah, I love you"
