Here, Have This.

Here, Have This.

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Here, have your obsticals and all of the afternoons

Cheers to good health and the days that I spent with you

You can have them to keep, wrap them up make them pretty

And hide them from me, I'm a sucker for imaginary

I don't want your voice in my speaker phone at night

Take back your bittersweet "I'm sorry" life

You run and you cry and I know you're a mess

But what's there to do with a boy who find you meaningless?

You cracked open my shell and you ate through my skin

I loved you, however, I never fit in

In that wind in your hair, fireflies made your bed

But your lies make it hard to believe what you've said

It's okay, we were young, and feelings were everywhere

But have back your postcard, yeah I've already been there

This is absolutely fantastic!
I can't believe no one has reviewed this yet.
It has this irresistible edge. There are so many sharp lines.
I'd have to say my favorite are;
"You can have them to keep, wrap them up make them pretty
And hide them from me, I'm a sucker for imaginary"
&
"It's okay, we were young, and feelings were everywhere
But have back your postcard, yeah I've already been there"
I love your writing style & look forward to reading more from you.
This is going straight to my favorites.
