First Love

First Love

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Swings made of tires, they swayed underneath us

And my favorite songs were your prettiest words

The summer of that year was my best disaster

I fell so in love with everything you were

You'd laugh now if I told you now

That every other memory

Is of all the things we talked about

And all the things we didn't say

I miss the way your face smiled when you said that you get nervous too

And the night that I realized that I was in love with you

Maybe or maybe not, you were my love and I want you back

It's been so long, and you've moved on, but I haven't yet

I think all that I need is a heart to heart

A conversation of remember whens and lullabies

You were my best friend and good things die

Lets have a reunion of the perfect life

You know a poem is good when you end up highlighting most of it lol.
This one goes in the library.
Thanks for the poetry lesson.
You've got a lot to teach.

Awesome job.
