Let's Go Spinning

Let's Go Spinning

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Good days are beaten down by the storybook puppet shows

And every man who cries about the fragile home he broke

I miss the mid-morning picnics with you and your table cloth

All that and the ways that you made me fall in love

Will lost and stolen hearts ever find their ways back home?

Will you ever care to ask how I've been?

Because I think about you quite a bit and I'm curious

How scared were you when you were convinced I was it?

I used to be some kind of magical in your car

Free as the song dancing from lips and fingers

We swore it was always up to the birds and their everywheres

If you were meant to be with me then we'd already be there

Could we have been too young to see what was at our backs?

Hiding in the folds was the best I've ever had.

I could be holding out for something better

But what if you're exactly what I'm after?

Jess, I am surprised that no one has given this poem a bunch of great reviews. It is so well put together, it reads like a well seasoned published writer. I really enjoy you're style of writing, its right up my alley. I enjoyed this immensely.

Great talent here.
