The Future, Love

The Future, Love

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Another fine person would carry their guard up

Some metallic, old shield for their poor, broken soul

But I'm high on the cliffs and my heart is out there

I will find my thrill, I'm too blind to be scared

You're the line between coincidence and fate

You're my swallowed pride and every breath I take

I hope you come before I completely lose my way

But thank God I'm still young and I have lots time to waste

There are so many beautiful, dazzling people

But can they look at themselves as some kind of different

Whatever's not special now will be famous in a while

I swear though, for you, I won't go out of style
