I Wrote This At 11:11

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Through this tangled web of broken strings

Your voice is like soft music notes

And when I think of smiling I think of your face

When it's cold outside, where do you go?

I would call out your name and lead you inside

But my love of friendship keeps me tongue tied

Not only it's you, because she love you too

I wish I could have you without having to choose

It's that she wanted you first, and best friends can't fight

Over pontentially the hands-down most fantastic life

She made her risky move while I lagged behind

In hopes that I wouldn't explode deep inside

But you don't see her for the beauty she has

And this sounds just awful, but I'm secretly glad

Frozen hope is suspended over your head

And I'll gradually, subtly look before i take your hand

But now it's just turning

I need you to wait

I can't lose my best friend

But this won't be a mistake

Find my face in your deepest and most beauiful folds

Of your heart and your mind and your body and your soul
